This is the time of year when we focus on shedding bad habits and starting anew. It’s also the time when plenty of newly adopted pets are settling into their new homes. After years of watching and being a part-time dog walker, also reading about a few strategies to keep those new and old additions happy and healthy for years to come, I have noticed a big change in my loveable pug when she gets the proper nutrition (not table food), proper exercise (not watching me change channels from my comfortable recliner) and attention that we all need. Also make sure shots are up to date and like us humans, make sure they see their vet to ensure they are staying healthy. To get more information on how to have a healthy pet, consult with a license veterinarian.
